Role Summary

The Toyota Financial Services Bank (TFSB) Finance Department is in search of a dedicated and driven Senior Analyst for Internal Controls and Governance. This role reports directly to the National Manager of Internal Controls and Governance and is crucial for overseeing the execution of the Bank's internal control initiatives, including SOX and FDICIA compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and implementation of risk-based internal controls, ensuring clarity in objectives and scope through critical analysis and effective testing methodologies.
  • Evaluate and design internal controls, providing actionable recommendations for enhancements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate assessments of the control environment, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Offer insights to improve controls, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with SOX and FDICIA standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, control descriptions, and risk matrices to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
  • Work alongside business units to ensure prompt remediation of SOX and FDICIA controls.
  • Prepare management updates, including remediation plans for control issues.
  • Develop policies for reporting findings and assess the adequacy of management's corrective actions.
  • Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of the internal control framework through periodic testing and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in internal controls, audit, or risk management.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Strong communication skills for documenting and conveying financial reporting processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the financial services or banking sector.
  • Knowledge of FDICIA regulations.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance technology solutions.
