Role Summary:

The Senior Analyst will play a crucial role within the accounting department, ensuring the precise preparation of financial data and reports. This position is vital for the timely execution of the period-end closing process and the thorough review of account reconciliations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct accounting functions, including overseeing the month-end closing process and verifying month-end data reports for corresponding journal entries.
  • Assess the accuracy and validity of financial information provided by business partners.
  • Facilitate month-end closing tasks, which include the preparation and documentation of all related journal entries.
  • Guarantee that the balances represented in the financial statements are correct.
  • Prepare, analyze, and review monthly reports along with detailed fluctuation analyses for both standalone and consolidated financials.
  • Lead departmental meetings focused on month-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing materials for the Board of Directors, executive presentations, and various special projects as assigned by management.
  • Complete quarterly, annual, and fiscal year reporting and financial statements, including the preparation of quarterly and/or annual financial documents.
  • Review and prepare supporting schedules and documentation necessary for financial audits conducted by external auditors.
  • Provide required information for periodic regulatory audits and tax reporting.
  • Independently manage and respond to various ad-hoc requests from internal departments with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead or support special projects directed by management.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and streamline existing accounting policies and procedures, investigating and implementing advanced technology usage, and recommending process improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Advanced reporting capabilities are crucial.
  • Strong foundational knowledge and expertise in accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Robust analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in public accounting with a national firm.
  • Advanced degree in a related field.

Additional Requirements:

Experience with ERP applications, preferably SAP, and possession of a Certified Public Accountant License is highly desirable.
