Job Overview

Emerge is actively seeking qualified individuals for a direct hire position as a Technical Services Manager. This role is essential for overseeing the technical operations within a large-scale manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various technical departments, including Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling, and Facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the technical divisions of a major manufacturing facility, ensuring operational excellence across Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling, and Facilities.
  • Utilize expertise to translate intricate technical information into actionable strategies while balancing hands-on involvement with strategic planning.
  • Identify and prioritize critical business challenges, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders to meet their evolving needs.
  • Proactively develop and implement long-term strategies that promote business growth, focusing on sustainable improvements rather than temporary solutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives independently, aligning teams with overarching business objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while empowering team members to achieve success.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, providing clear updates and building trust through consistent communication.
  • Cultivate a positive, mission-driven workplace, encouraging collaboration throughout the organization.
  • Identify and address obstacles, maintaining momentum and supporting team members in reaching their goals.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and advocate for ongoing improvement, effectively managing challenges without compromising deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, etc.).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Technical Services projects, with at least 1 year in a managerial role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • ISO/AS9100 and NADCAP certification is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Casting Operations Processes is highly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers and clients.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general PC skills.
  • Willingness to travel and availability for overtime as needed.
  • Experience in US & Mexico Maquila Manufacturing is a plus.
