The Senior Child Well-Being Coordinator serves as the primary liaison for all matters concerning child welfare at designated sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer guidance and decision-making support related to child welfare, while effectively communicating program details to leadership.
  • Oversee all program-related issues, providing professional insights, technical expertise, and assistance regarding overarching concerns in child welfare and trauma-informed practices.
  • Facilitate coordination for exceptional cases escalated by Child Well-Being Specialists, ensuring connections across local, state, and federal resources.
  • Collaborate with leadership and relevant stakeholders to streamline care coordination and expedite placements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date surge support deployment strategy and manage the allocation of Child Well-Being Specialists for surge support initiatives as required.
  • Work with management on reporting obligations, executing initiatives, and addressing information requests.
  • Deliver consistent guidance to ensure continuity of care, eliminate redundancy, and synchronize activities across the entire child welfare program.
  • Respond to information requests by generating routine process and outcome metrics reports to aid in monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to support multiple sites through continuous communication and assessment data review.
  • Effective communication skills with site and government personnel.
  • Capability to operate in a dynamic environment while developing new programs.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Strong project prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and good research capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, as operations run 24/7/365.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in behavioral health or a related discipline; a doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Licensed Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a doctoral-level psychologist (LP) or equivalent in the relevant state(s).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in child development, culturally competent and trauma-informed care, with direct engagement in clinical evaluations involving children and families.
  • At least 2 years of management experience supervising staff.
  • Experience in cultural humility, child development, trauma-informed care, and training in psychological distress is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and capable of travel within the Continental United States.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background investigation after receiving a conditional job offer.
