POSITION SUMMARY:

Comtech Telecommunications is seeking candidates for the role of Help Desk Technical Tier III Support. The selected individuals will be tasked with ensuring the operational integrity of computer hardware and software within a complex network environment. Candidates must demonstrate a collaborative spirit and possess a strong work ethic, along with the ability to think critically and adapt to challenging situations.

  • Current Secret Clearance is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties will be expected of all candidates:

  • Provide expert knowledge and oversight of action plans for both scheduled and unscheduled changes to network infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of multicast design and deployment.
  • Exhibit expertise in GRE and IPSEC deployment and configuration.
  • Show familiarity with Cisco IOS-based routers and switches across various families.
  • Possess knowledge of IP communications, including packet analysis.
  • Understand layer 3 technologies, such as EIGRP and HSRP.
  • Be knowledgeable about layer 2 technologies, including Rapid Spanning-Tree.
  • Implement Central Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting via TACACS+.
  • Demonstrate network troubleshooting capabilities and comprehensive knowledge of networking.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience with Cisco Routers and Switches.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a military setting.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking, SIPRNet, NIPRNet, cross-domain solutions, and security systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical capabilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or an Associate's degree combined with 7 years of specialized experience, or a relevant certification with 7 years of specialized experience, or a total of eleven (11) years of specialized experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience in maintaining relevant certifications is necessary.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must possess one (1) of the following certifications:

  • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) CE
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or Associate)
  • GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED)
  • GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH)
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
