Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor II to join our team at Bio-Rad Laboratories. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising lab activities, shipping and receiving, and overseeing all manufacturing functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to laboratory personnel, ensuring the smooth operation of lab activities and shipping and receiving processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all manufacturing functions, including scheduling, managing multiple products, and meeting completion deadlines.
  • Update laboratory personnel with information from other departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Write and approve documents at all levels, troubleshoot issues, and review the work of Manufacturing and Research and Development personnel.
  • Work hands-on in the manufacturing lab to produce product when demand requires.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, or Biotechnology.
  • 5 years of full-time experience in a technically related position and 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to self-motivate, organize, execute, present, and interpret scientific experiments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to quickly learn and perform protein purification, bacterial fermentation, large-scale cell culture production, and various molecular biology techniques.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $66,200 to $91,100 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
