Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Public Transportation Division's Planning & Program Development Section as a Transportation Funding Specialist. This role will play a crucial part in managing transportation funding for bicycle and pedestrian programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with bicycle and pedestrian financial management, including Transportation Alternatives grant funds for local government-sponsored infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance multimodal policies and programs
  • Develop and implement procedures for program implementation
  • Monitor payments, procedures, and projects to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in short-range and strategic planning
  • Prepare and analyze advanced applications and make recommendations on program funding
  • Review and recommend contracts, grants, projects, and programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
  • 4 years of experience in grant funding administration, planning, budgeting, or working with state or federal funding
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge of contract development and oversight, generally accepted accounting principles, and budgeting methods and procedures
