The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Program Specialist IV. This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Operations Manager/Director of Residential Services, with a focus on data management, reporting, and clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate and maintain department databases and tracking systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare reports and data collections, utilizing analytical skills to identify trends and patterns.
- Provide clerical support, including document request coordination and training as needed.
- Assist with scheduling training for department staff, ensuring optimal client treatment and training.
- Coordinate operational flow with human resource and legal paperwork processes and procedures.
- Assist in reviewing, maintaining, and writing residential policies and procedures.
- Provide coverage for the Director's Office desk in the absence of the Director Administrative Assistant.
- Participate in administrative on-duty rotations, including weekend rotations and working outside of normal scheduled business hours.
- Knowledge and skills in scheduling, data trending, or data analysis.
- Ability to train staff in computer skills and basic computations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain data collection systems for 24-hour residential care.
- Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in utilizing personal computers and relevant software.
- General knowledge of ICF-IID regulations and State Supported Living Center policies and procedures is preferred.
- Some college coursework in human resources, behavioral sciences, education, or related areas is preferred.
- Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
- Demonstrated commitment to facility mission and service/workplace values.
The primary language used in this role is English.
