Position Overview

The Lighting Specialist is tasked with the essential role of preparing customer quotes and engaging in negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive outcomes that enhance product sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed takeoffs on fixture schedules for various projects.
  • Research competitor product offerings and engage in negotiations with vendors.
  • Prepare and submit quotes to clients as per their requests.
  • Create comprehensive submittal documents for awarded projects through the standard bidding process.
  • Analyze past sales data and competitor information to determine the necessary gross profit margins for successful sales finalization.
  • Place orders promptly upon job release and monitor order statuses to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the branch manager and sales personnel to follow up on all quoted projects.
  • Stay informed about the latest innovations in the lighting industry to provide customers with the best product selections available.
Training and Development

Participation in manufacturer training seminars is a fundamental aspect of this role and should be integrated into effective time management practices.

Attendance at training sessions and departmental meetings is also required to ensure continuous professional development.
