About the Energy Innovations Team

The Energy Innovations team at Walmart has been newly restructured to ensure we possess the necessary resources and internal positioning to achieve our regenerative energy goals.

This team operates directly under the COO of Walmart US and the Chief Sustainability Officer.

We consist of experienced energy professionals committed to fulfilling Walmart's regenerative objectives and utilizing our platform to aid in the decarbonization efforts of our customers, associates, communities, and suppliers.

Given that energy influences all aspects of our operations, we collaborate across various departments within Walmart, particularly in real estate, facilities, supply chain, network design, transportation, and customer experience.

Our team comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds, including utilities, developers, banking, clean energy consulting, and environmental NGOs. We are innovators and change agents focused on making a significant impact. Our approach is analytical and entrepreneurial, blending thoughtfulness with practicality.

Role of Senior Manager, Innovations
In the capacity of Senior Manager, Innovations, you will take charge of collaborating with Product, UX, Engineering, and Business teams to create and implement an exceptional EV charging experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation of innovative designs and solutions by partnering with senior leadership to identify new business initiatives; assess the current state of operations; pinpoint, research, and evaluate opportunities; and recommend various solutions.
  • Lead the design and development of solutions while researching best practices to optimize future initiatives.
  • Conduct analysis of initiative outcomes and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Manage the development and validation of innovation concept tests by identifying opportunities for enhancements; determining the best proof of concept approach; and analyzing results for scalability.
  • Lead medium to large-scale innovation projects by collecting project requirements, ensuring deliverables meet expectations, and reviewing key performance indicators.
  • Consult with internal teams on strategic initiatives by formulating high-level project plans to achieve corporate goals.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in EV charging product management.
  • Proficiency in EV charging operations, with a strong understanding of relevant standards.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of various software engineering disciplines.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a passion for enhancing the charging experience through effective and scalable solutions.
  • A proven track record of success in collaborative environments.
