As a Senior Behavioral Consultant (SBC), you will oversee the provision of authorized IBHS services at Northern Children's Services. The Senior Behavioral Consultant leads and supports Behavioral Consultants and Behavioral Health Technicians in delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities include monitoring program census and staffing for compliance, collaborating with various teams, and conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and Group Mobile Therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Provide crisis support and guidance to the team during challenging situations
  • Lead the creation and execution of individualized treatment plans
  • Offer direction and backup support to team members
  • Assign staff for service delivery

Planning:

  • Engage in performance improvement initiatives
  • Conduct clinical planning meetings as necessary
  • Develop treatment plans in line with established standards

Monitoring:

  • Ensure team adherence to regulations
  • Track consumer progress and service delivery
  • Review and oversee documentation and tasks

Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with relevant stakeholders
  • Effectively convey program goals and directives
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Resolve conflicts and foster program culture
  • Review standards to enhance performance

Documentation:

  • Review and approve staff documentation
  • Document all therapy sessions and activities
  • Create individualized treatment plans
  • Record billable services

Supervision:

  • Provide supervision and support to team members
  • Conduct ongoing training and support sessions
  • Assist in implementing program procedures
  • Offer support in various roles as needed

Networking:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and resources

Direct Service:

  • Deliver required weekly service hours
  • Provide group and individual therapy sessions
  • Offer case management support when necessary

Additional Responsibilities:

Essential Skills Required:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Assessment of treatment needs
  • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions
  • Ability to perform accurate calculations
  • Clear and concise instruction delivery skills
  • Familiarity with behavioral health and social service systems
  • Conflict resolution skills

Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree in a clinical mental health discipline and clinical/MH practicum
  2. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  3. Experience in the mental health field
  4. Familiarity with child-serving systems

Physical Abilities & Environment:

  • Physical tasks such as walking and lifting
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment
  • Willingness to travel or commute as needed
