Dunbar Community Counseling Services is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Specialist Consultant to provide expert behavioral intervention services in West and Southwest Philadelphia.

This doctoral or master's level mental health professional will play a crucial role in supporting children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances. The consultant will work collaboratively with treatment teams, families, and educators to develop and implement effective behavioral management plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough observations of the child in home and school settings to inform the development of personalized intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with the interagency team to ensure seamless integration of behavioral plans across various environments (school, home, community).
  • Provide expert consultation to treatment teams on best practices for implementing behavior interventions outlined in the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
  • Develop and revise ITPs based on ongoing assessments and data analysis, ensuring alignment with the child's needs and goals.
  • Supervise Behavior Health Technicians (BHTs) and provide guidance on behavioral management protocols.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A license as a behavior specialist in this Commonwealth.
  • A doctoral or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, education).
  • Experience developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for children with emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Current child Abuse, criminal history, CPR/First Aid, and FBI clearances.
