Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison and provide consultative support between the Department, federal agencies, utility providers, and title companies.
  • Create, maintain, and revise utility relocation timelines.
  • Assist in managing SUE/UC projects, including budgets, schedules, and submissions.
  • Engage in marketing SUE/EC services to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed proposals.
  • Develop, implement, and interpret departmental policies and procedures related to utility adjustments, relocations, negotiations, reimbursements, and compliance with relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Calculate and coordinate payments, including betterment ratios, eligibility percentages, supplements, market value assessments, and relocation expenses.
  • Meet with utility representatives and other stakeholders to clarify utility accommodation policies and the processes for relocation and reimbursement, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Monitor the installation, removal, adjustment, or relocation of utilities.
  • Oversee ongoing projects for progress and plan for upcoming projects; provide consultation and guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain necessary documentation, references, and resource materials.
  • Review agreements, plans, specifications, and invoices submitted by utility companies.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in utility coordination.
  • Understanding of the utility coordination process.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation V8i.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
