Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison and provide consultative support between the Department, federal agencies, utility firms, and title companies.
- Develop, maintain, and update schedules for utility relocations.
- Assist in managing SUE/UC projects, including budgets, timelines, and submissions.
- Engage in marketing SUE/EC services to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit proposals.
- Formulate, implement, and interpret policies and procedures regarding utility adjustments, relocations, negotiations, reimbursements, and compliance with relevant state and federal regulations.
- Calculate and coordinate payments, including betterment ratios, eligibility percentages, supplements, market value assessments, and relocation expenses.
- Meet with utility representatives and other stakeholders to clarify utility accommodation policies and relocation processes, negotiate terms, address inquiries, and resolve issues.
- Monitor the installation, removal, adjustment, or relocation of utilities.
- Oversee ongoing projects for progress and future planning; provide consultation and guidance on policies and procedures.
- Prepare, process, and maintain relevant documents and resource materials.
- Review agreements, plans, specifications, and invoices submitted by utility companies.
- Foster and maintain client relationships.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in utility coordination.
- Familiarity with the utility coordination process.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation V8i.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
