Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the condition and performance of all plant-related utility systems, ensuring optimal functionality and guiding investment priorities.
  • Manage the following utility systems: Fresh Water Treatment, Cooling Water Systems, Steam Generation and Distribution, Condensate Management, Waste Water Systems, Nitrogen, and Fuel Gas.
  • Identify and rectify utility inefficiencies, propose expansions when necessary, and maintain utility balances.
  • Support capital projects with valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Establish guidelines for troubleshooting and identifying utility savings opportunities, particularly in wastewater management.
  • Assess utility and process equipment for lifecycle management, recommending repairs, replacements, or upgrades as necessary.
  • Possess a strong understanding of various water treatment processes, including filtration, Ion-Exchange, steam systems, and condensate return.
  • Ensure compliance with RAGAGEP standards and recommend necessary upgrades or repairs.
  • Review the work of contracted engineering personnel and prepare cost estimates for utility-related projects.
  • Evaluate long-term utility contracts for sustainability.
  • Contribute as a member of the leadership team by researching and developing policies and plans for future expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience in a plant utility engineering role within a comparable manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of utility design, construction, and contract management.
  • Familiarity with modern engineering specifications and regulatory requirements for utility systems.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
