As a key member of the Comcast team, the Strategic Business Development Director will play a critical role in driving the company's growth and success. This senior-level position will be responsible for assisting leadership in the management of strategic analysis and plans, obtaining agreements, and responding to business unit and corporate strategies to enhance sales and profits.
Key Responsibilities- Recommend plans and actions, including competitive or proactive responses, to allocate resources to existing business areas, acquire new businesses, and dispose of existing businesses.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of business agreements and review business development and implementation plans.
- Provide leadership and direction for diverse and complex functions, contributing to the development of the organization's business strategy.
- Interpret business strategy and develop organizational objectives to align with this strategy.
- Manage multiple teams of professionals, overseeing complex and varied financial, economic, competitive, and other studies that strategically position products, services, and businesses within markets and industry sectors.
- Manage complex special studies to top management in areas such as organizational operational effectiveness, organizational or product positioning, and other studies related to the Company's growth and profitability.
- Maintain and manage the company's portfolio with the objective of maximizing resources and driving sustainable revenue models.
- Design and manage programs that address/respond to competitive actions or potential partners inquiries, evaluating business unit and Company objectives with internal investment, partnership opportunities, and/or concluding partnership deals.
- Present strategic insights and implications (opportunities/threats) for Company in report summaries and in roundtable discussions with top management.
- Serve as corporate or business unit representative in dealings with legal and with partners on company strategic plans, response, and agreements.
- Partner with Legal Department to negotiate deals and revenue sharing agreements and respond to any business threats.
- Help manage department priorities and serve as liaison to industry associations.
- Manage, develop, and motivate team members to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
