Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Sheraton Augusta Hotel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement emergency programs and safety training to ensure compliance with all codes and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and drills to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage energy conservation programs to minimize expenses and reduce our environmental footprint.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to extend the lifespan of our assets and reduce downtime.
  • Direct and supervise a team of maintenance staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure that our facilities and operations remain at the forefront of the industry.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, as well as carpentry experience.
  • Managerial experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Hotel experience with a strong understanding of hospitality operations.
  • Knowledge of pool and CPO certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
