JOB ROLE

Position Summary

Ensure the upkeep of hotel facilities in accordance with established standards by performing preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain optimal room conditions through timely repairs.
  • Understand and implement the Room Preventive Maintenance Program (R.P.M.).
  • Prepare and organize the preventive maintenance cart each day.
  • Repair various in-room amenities such as televisions and telephones.
  • Replace or fix damaged bathroom fixtures and carry out general plumbing tasks as needed.
  • Enhance room aesthetics by replacing broken mirrors and performing touch-up painting.
  • Manage repairs and maintenance of HVAC systems in guest rooms.
  • Utilize power and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance across various hotel areas, both interior and exterior.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality in hotel lobbies and dining areas.
  • Repair and maintain furniture, decor, carpets, marble, and tiles.
  • Oversee the maintenance of kitchen, laundry, and housekeeping equipment.
  • Handle window and mirror replacements or repairs.
  • Ensure the upkeep of the building's exterior and grounds as necessary.
  • Participate in relevant training to stay updated on maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Conduct routine checks and repairs on operational equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attend work punctually as scheduled.
  • Follow grooming and dress standards.
  • Minimize safety risks by adhering to safety protocols.
  • Report issues promptly to the supervisor.
  • Participate in necessary meetings.
  • Generate reports as required to support management decisions.
  • Perform all duties with professionalism and efficiency, in line with company policy.
  • Execute any other necessary tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.
Essential Functions
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Engage in prolonged periods of standing or walking.
  • Visually inspect work areas and hotel facilities.
  • Lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Other Requirements
  • Proficiency in English and the local language.
