JOB SUMMARY:
As a Lead Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for providing essential operational support for assigned applications along with the server and database platforms they utilize.

Your role will include executing software installations and upgrades, integrating third-party applications, making system-level configuration adjustments, and performing troubleshooting and performance optimization to ensure system reliability and efficiency.

You will offer advanced technical support to analysts managing the applications and act as a technical liaison with various IT Infrastructure teams, including Server and Network Engineering.

In this position, you will facilitate meetings by developing objectives, agendas, and action items, while also training and mentoring team members through both formal and informal methods. You will serve as the expert technical liaison between customers, vendors, and the infrastructure team.

Your responsibilities will include setting customer expectations, prioritizing tasks, and delivering timely solutions, as well as providing advanced technical and end-user support for the assigned applications.

Utilizing your expert understanding of application architecture and integration, you will independently and creatively address a wide range of complex and unique challenges.

You will plan large-scale implementations and upgrades in collaboration with application teams and project management to fulfill project requirements.

As a technical expert, you will review application specifications for new projects or requests that necessitate backend application configurations or infrastructure changes. You will monitor the health and performance of applications and their underlying infrastructure, actively engaging in the Incident Management process.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure system uptime expectations are met while minimizing the impact of any outages.

You will design systems for fault tolerance and high availability, ensuring that patching and disaster recovery procedures are established. Additionally, you will manage your time effectively by setting responsible deadlines and personal work plans.

Your contributions will also extend to the budget planning process through the analysis of future projects, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and implementing enhanced support processes in conjunction with management.

Automation of tasks and extraction of system information through scripting using PowerShell or other languages will be part of your responsibilities. You will utilize the Epic Client Systems Administrator ("ESCA") infrastructure and programming.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, accompanied by 6 years of experience in Information Technology or a relevant occupation.

Current ESCA certification is required or must be obtained within 6 months.



TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 5% domestic travel may be required.
