Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician at the Journeyman level to support our first shift operations. The first shift operates from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of adjustments based on operational requirements. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Team Dynamics:
The Maintenance Department is tasked with the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of facilities and manufacturing equipment at our headquarters. Our team consists of over 100 highly skilled tradespeople, responsible for maintaining a variety of systems including buildings, doors, conveyors, packaging lines, robotics, and blow molding machinery.
As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include conducting preventative maintenance, diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues, performing diverse repair tasks, and engaging in welding and fabrication activities. This position may be filled at the Mechanic I, II, III, or IV level, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Role Highlights:
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Diagnosing equipment malfunctions and executing repairs.
- Performing preventative maintenance and identifying root causes of issues.
- Working with conveyor systems, pumping mechanisms, hydraulic systems, and compressed air systems.
Occasionally, you will apply your fabrication skills to enhance existing equipment. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the department will determine the specific days for a 40-hour work week based on production needs. This role may also involve both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of three years of maintenance experience. A Journeyman certificate in a mechanical trade is preferred.
Additional requirements include:
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in metal fabrication, welding, hydraulics/pneumatics, and building repairs.
- Capability to perform preventative maintenance, installations, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment.
