Job Title: Maintenance Operations Supervisor

Department / Division: Facilities and Manufacturing / Supply Chain

Paygrade: EXB 15

Salary Range: $87,686 - $113,477

Location: Quincy, WA

Key Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the daily activities of a team of 10 Maintenance and Custodial personnel, ensuring that all machinery and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Your role will involve:

  • Leading a team of Maintenance technicians to guarantee optimal equipment performance.
  • Recruiting and onboarding new team members as necessary.
  • Collaborating with production staff to swiftly address and resolve equipment challenges.
  • Ensuring adherence to maintenance protocols and policies across the team.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with equipment vendors and service providers.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Guiding the custodial team to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Conducting regular performance assessments of team members and facilitating training and development opportunities.
  • Performing routine inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with GMP standards.
  • Conducting safety audits alongside leadership and EH&S, taking responsibility for all safety-related tasks performed by maintenance and contractors.
  • Collaborating with regulatory bodies to uphold compliance with Life Safety, Environmental Waste, Air Quality, Boiler Inspections, and Fire Protection standards.
Required Qualifications:

Candidates should possess one of the following:
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience coupled with a bachelor's degree in Engineering.
    • A minimum of 4 years in facilities or manufacturing, along with a Skilled Trades Journeyman certification or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 5 years in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a BA/BS degree.
Essential Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
  • Strong communication skills at the maintenance technician level.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Capability to convey complex technical matters in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with computer-based maintenance management systems, preferably with an Enterprise Asset Management system like Hexagon or Infor.
  • Ability to interpret equipment and facility schematics, including parts lists, P&ID drawings, and architectural layouts.
