Position Title: Process Operations Technician
Role Summary:
The Process Operations Technician will be responsible for overseeing and managing a computerized control system across various refinery operations. This role involves ensuring the production of high-quality fatty acids that meet specific customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor refinery systems including Hydrolyzer, Fractionator, and Glycerin Refinery.
- Initiate processes by adjusting valves and utilizing both computerized and manual control systems.
- Collect product samples and conduct laboratory tests to assess chemical properties.
- Document lab results and observations accurately.
- Perform routine safety inspections and maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Input production data into SAP and conduct machinery inspections.
- Update shift turnover information in the control room.
- Participate in maintenance tasks during shutdowns and repairs.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Fundamental math and chemistry knowledge.
- Understanding of process manufacturing.
Employment Type:
This is a permanent position.
Work Environment:
The role is based in a large industrial manufacturing facility, requiring work both indoors and outdoors. Technicians will encounter varying temperatures and may work at heights of up to 150 feet. There is potential exposure to hazardous materials, and the role demands the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
