We are seeking a dedicated and attentive Overnight Concierge/Security Officer for our esteemed retirement community, Cogir of South Bay. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming environment during the night shift, where you will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors alike.

Your responsibilities will include providing exceptional front desk service, ensuring the safety and security of the community, and assisting residents and guests with their needs. You will conduct regular patrols of the premises, monitor surveillance systems, and address any unusual activities promptly.

Key Responsibilities of the Overnight Concierge-Security Officer:

  • Manage a multi-line phone system, directing inquiries from residents and vendors appropriately.
  • Welcome all visitors, residents, and families with a friendly demeanor.
  • Control access for family members, vendors, and guests.
  • Conduct regular inspections and rounds throughout the facility.
  • Oversee surveillance camera feeds to ensure safety.
  • Verify that all exits, doors, and windows are secure and free from suspicious activities.
  • Respond to alarms and manage emergency situations effectively.
  • Assist management with various tasks and projects as needed.
  • Complete work order requests and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A valid guard card is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of relevant safety experience in hospitality or senior living, ideally in a front desk or overnight security role.
  • A strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent verbal communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
  • Capability to remain alert, make sound decisions, and stay composed in high-pressure situations.
