Staff Geologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Level Geologist to join our team at Genesis Engineering and Redevelopment, Inc. in Torrance, California. As a Staff Level Geologist, you will be responsible for conducting environmental site investigations, data collection, and analysis, as well as preparing technical reports and presentations.

• Conduct environmental site investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, and data collection.
• Analyze and interpret data to identify contaminant trends and patterns.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Develop conceptual models of contaminant movement and fate to design remediation strategies.
• Assess exposure risk to humans and develop recommendations for mitigation.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Sciences, or Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with soil and groundwater investigation and remediation projects.
• Field experience, including drilling and sampling.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
• Professional work and scientific ethics.
• Ability to travel overnight periodically to project sites.
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
