Operating autonomously while demonstrating sound judgment and discretion under the guidance of the Director, the Administrative Assistant will contribute to the seamless, efficient, and organized functioning of office operations. This includes managing documentation, overseeing all correspondence, and fulfilling front desk duties, which encompass welcoming and directing all visitors to the Center.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, administration, and the public, facilitating effective communication.
- As needed, organize and monitor Professional Development activities and scheduling, which includes: Course registration; Sending notifications to presenters and enrolled faculty; Compiling course rosters; Recording attendance; Regularly assessing inactivity and performing necessary updates.
- Support the planning and hospitality of Center events and services, including managing room bookings and meetings.
- Assist with the promotion and marketing of events and special initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member, actively supporting and advancing the mission of Liberty University.
A bachelor's degree, prior office experience, proficiency in Office Suite, and familiarity with Higher Education settings are preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to reason intuitively, analyze information and situations, and apply sound judgment to resolve both routine and complex issues.
Excellent computer proficiency and organizational abilities are required. Regular lifting of 10 pounds or less may be necessary.
