Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Assistant to support our sales team in delivering exceptional service to our customers in the building materials industry. The Sales Assistant will play a key role in managing administrative tasks, coordinating sales activities, and ensuring efficient communication between departments and customers.Responsibilities:Sales Support:Assist the sales team with day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.Prepare and deliver quotations and proposals to prospective customers.Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.Customer Communication:Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and ensure timely responses.Maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular follow-up and proactive communication.Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.Order Processing and Management:Process sales orders accurately and ensure timely delivery to customers.Monitor order status and coordinate with warehouse and shipping teams to resolve any issues.Data Management:Maintain and update customer database and sales records.Generate reports on sales performance, trends, and forecasts for management review.Administrative Support:Assist sales and management with administrative tasks as needed.Assist in preparing sales contracts, agreements, and invoices.Accounts Payable Duties:Process invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.Verify, allocate, and post transactions in the accounting system.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and electronic payments.Maintain and update vendor records.Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.Requirements:Proven experience as a Sales Assistant or similar role, preferably in the building materials industry.Knowledge of building materials products and their applications is a strong asset.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service orientation.Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.Additional Information:The Sales Assistant will work closely with the sales team, operations, finance, and management to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement plan, and paid time off.Opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company.Equal Opportunity Employer: Dominion Block is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.#J-18808-Ljbffr
