About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer III to join our Test & Flight Operations team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying data collection and control systems used in flight component testing and ground launch support facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems using CAD-based electrical schematic and panel layout tools (AutoCAD Electrical)
  • Architect systems to collect data from various instrumentation
  • Develop and release artifacts following the facility lifecycle plan
  • Maintain configuration management of operational systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions, making recommendations to improve efficiency or quality of operations
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of experience with industrial or aerospace control and/or data system design or operation
  • Ability to design electrical systems using CAD-based tools
  • Understanding of the National Electric Code (NFPA70)
  • Knowledge of National Instruments data acquisition hardware or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with analog circuit PCB design using Altium design tools
  • Experience with power circuit and power distribution design
  • Understanding of additional electrical codes such as NFPA 70E, 79, 496, 497, UL508A, 698

At Blue Origin, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $136,800.00-$191,520.00, depending on location.
