At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Avionics Hardware Design Engineer III, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing cutting-edge avionics systems for our spacecraft.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop analog and digital boards that interact with avionics systems, including sensors, power systems, and motor controls.
- Develop and implement design concepts, from initial concept design to final production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design goals, schedules, and performance criteria are met.
- Perform worst-case circuit and derating analyses, design for test/manufacture/cost (DFx), and support trades studies as required.
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of direct experience in electronics hardware development.
- Direct hands-on experience developing sophisticated commercial or aerospace electronic assemblies.
- Direct hands-on experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit analysis, simulation, design, test, debug, signal integrity, power, grounding, and general board layout principles.
- Exposure to analog and digital filters, signal conditioning, and signal processing using discrete components.
- Graduate degree in related engineering or technical field with 5+ years of direct experience in electronics hardware development.
- Proven expertise crafting high-reliability, safety-critical, Class 2/3 board assemblies.
- Proficiency using Altium/Cadence OrCAD/Allegro (or similar tools) to craft sophisticated aerospace boards.
