Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer III to join our team as a Hardware Development Specialist. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and commissioning Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for our lunar lander program, Blue Moon. You'll work closely with our team of engineers and technicians to develop and implement electrical systems, data acquisition systems, and control systems for our space vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems, data acquisition systems, and control systems for our space vehicles
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement electrical systems, data acquisition systems, and control systems for our space vehicles
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications for electrical systems, data acquisition systems, and control systems
  • Work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure that electrical systems, data acquisition systems, and control systems are properly integrated and tested
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of testing and validation procedures for electrical systems, data acquisition systems, and control systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 0-15 years of experience in industrial or aerospace control system and/or data acquisition design
  • Ability to design electrical systems using CAD-based electrical schematic and panel layout tools
  • Knowledge of instrumentation theory and integration into data acquisition hardware
  • Proficiency with electrical diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) to troubleshoot instrumentation and control circuits
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Design experience with three-phase power distribution and power systems
  • Design experience in noise reduction, shielding, and analog and digital filtering to provide high-fidelity measurements
  • PCB design experience (preferably using Altium) focusing on signal conditioning of high-frequency instrumentation or digital circuit design
  • Software development in PLC ladder logic, LabVIEW, C++, or Python
