At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Electrical Design Engineer III, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing electrical systems for our space vehicles and ground facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop electrical systems for space vehicles and ground facilities, including power distribution, control systems, and data acquisition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet safety, performance, and reliability requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics, bills of materials, and test procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and testing to ensure electrical systems meet specifications and requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging technologies to inform electrical system design and development.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in electrical design and development, preferably in aerospace or industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in CAD-based electrical schematic and panel layout tools, such as AutoCAD Electrical.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NFPA 70) and other relevant electrical codes and standards.
- Experience with data acquisition hardware and software, such as National Instruments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with analog circuit PCB design using Altium design tools.
- Knowledge of additional electrical codes, such as NFPA 70E, 79, 496, 497, UL508A, 698.
- Experience with video monitoring systems and closed-loop control systems.
- Software development skills in PLC ladder logic, LabVIEW, C++, or Python.
