We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Electrical Engineer III to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of battery power distribution systems for our New Glenn launch vehicle.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical power distribution systems for New Glenn
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power distribution systems with other vehicle systems
- Develop and implement testing and validation plans for power distribution systems
- Work with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production of power distribution systems
- Contribute to the development of technical specifications and requirements for power distribution systems
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in battery and/or power distribution development, with 3+ years in space applications
- Direct experience with battery design, test, and manufacturing
- 3 years of experience with high voltage systems design and/or testing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience in development of launch vehicles
- Experience with human spaceflight or high-performance aircraft systems
- Experience with Primavera (P6), DOORS, CREO, Windchill
- Competitive salary range: $128,430.00-$179,802.00
