We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Electrical Engineer III to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our power systems team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and qualification of battery power distribution products in support of our New Glenn mission.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical power distribution systems for our launch vehicles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate power systems with other vehicle systems
- Validate and test battery power distribution products to ensure safety and reliability
- Develop and implement design solutions to meet the needs of our mission
- Work closely with our manufacturing team to introduce designs to volume production
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of direct experience in battery and/or power distribution development
- Direct experience with battery design, test, and manufacturing
- 3 years of experience with high voltage systems design and/or testing
- Experience specifying and justifying margins and test sequences for high power systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent technical interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to travel to and work at remote sites
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience in development of launch vehicles
- Experience with human spaceflight or high-performance aircraft systems
- Experience across multiple portions of the product life cycle
- Experience with Primavera (P6), DOORS, CREO, Windchill
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $128,430.00-$179,802.00, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
