About the Role

Cumulus Media Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Digital Media Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Ad Operations group, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing effective digital campaigns to maximize KPI-based performance while keeping within fixed budget ranges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Campaign Development: Prepare, onboard, and optimize a book of campaign business across a variety of Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs).
  • Strategy and Recommendations: Recommend audiences and strategies that deliver the highest returns for a given budget, utilizing our first-party identity graph alongside second-party and third-party solutions.
  • Campaign Execution: Manage the organization, process, and delivery of multi-channel programmatic campaigns, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
  • Creative Strategies: Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative strategies and innovative solutions to accomplish high-stakes business goals while staying within cost constraints.
  • Campaign Performance Monitoring: Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports to account management team, highlighting successes, segment gains/losses, and areas for improvement.
  • Insight and Recommendations: Analyze and translate campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement to meet client goals.
  • Reporting and Tracking: Oversee ongoing internal reporting and account trackers in order to provide ongoing details about campaign pacing, reporting metrics, account health, project timelines, growth opportunities, etc.
  • Audience and Inventory Forecasting: Assist in audience and inventory forecasting (including the build-out of media plans and target populations), ongoing monthly reporting, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Revenue Growth Opportunities: Identify opportunities for revenue growth, and work with internal teams to suggest new strategies and campaign optimizations that drive revenue and/or performance.
  • Support and Collaboration: Support strategic agency projects as needed (like onboarding a new platform, researching new products/partners, or setting up new offerings in our planning tools).
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on ad operations.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritize and solve client issues. Demonstrated ability to self-motivated and task-oriented for complex and fast-paced projects. Time management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be a team player, with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teammates. Proven track record of delivering successful digital campaigns that drive results. Knowledge of digital marketing channels, including programmatic buying in DSPs. Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google DV360 and CM360, Google Tag Manager, Basis, Simplifi, and/or Facebook Ads Manager.
