Patient Services Coordinator Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate Patient Scheduling: Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments, while ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Assist physicians and managers with administrative tasks, such as preparing reports, maintaining records, and performing data entry.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Penn Medicine's policies and procedures.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, healthcare providers, and staff to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee daily operations, including managing schedules, staffing, and performance metrics, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a medical office setting, with a focus on patient services and coordination.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
