Job Description

BMO Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development through strategic initiatives and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Develop and execute business development plans to achieve or exceed business goals, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key clients.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and build strong relationships with existing clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead and execute strategic initiatives to drive business growth, including market research, competitor analysis, and sales strategy development.
  • Risk Management: Manage the risk associated with assigned complex portfolios, ensuring timely and precise risk mitigation.
  • Operational Programs: Lead the execution of operational programs, assessing and adapting as needed to ensure quality of execution.
  • Sales and Service Management: Manage the sales and service process, including sales strategy development, sales referral process development, and sales support materials.
  • Change Leadership: Lead change management programs, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.
  • Financial and Working Capital Understanding: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of financial and working capital management, including financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Strategic Thinking: Apply strategic thinking to drive business growth and development, including market analysis, competitor analysis, and sales strategy development.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in business development, relationship management, and strategic initiatives.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Strong business development and relationship management skills, including sales strategy development, sales referral process development, and sales support materials. Strong risk management and operational programs skills, including risk mitigation and quality of execution. Strong financial and working capital understanding, including financial analysis and forecasting. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including market analysis, competitor analysis, and sales strategy development.
