POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Cage Cashier is accountable for providing financial support to Cashiers in the Cage/Credit Division within the Finance and Gaming Departments. This role is essential in addressing the financial requirements of guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists multiple departments in the accurate counting of gratuities.
  • Confirms all cash drops and deposits into designated accounts.
  • Balances financial accounts effectively.
  • Handles markers, returned checks, and guest deposits with precision.
  • Processes large jackpot payouts efficiently.
  • Keeps detailed records of Main Bank operations.
  • Counts and reconciles foreign chips accurately.
  • Manages and prepares mutilated currency for bank return.
  • Ensures assigned bank balances accurately.
  • Facilitates effective communication across the property by participating in regular departmental meetings.
  • Maintains a high standard of accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness in departmental records and reports.
  • Cashes gaming chips and tokens for guests promptly and courteously.
  • Processes personal and travelers' checks for currency exchange.
  • Handles foreign currency redemption, ensuring accurate exchange rates.
  • Manages marker buy-back transactions, delivering quality service to guests.
  • Provides assistance to fellow Cage Cashiers as required.
  • Addresses minor guest disputes related to Cage operations.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of casino facilities and upcoming events to assist guests and staff.
  • Accesses and distributes funds promptly to relevant areas.
  • Collaborates with Cage Management to develop and implement effective departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains adequate staffing by training, scheduling, and promoting employee development.
  • Ensures the integrity of all financial data produced by team members.
  • Monitors financial activities related to the Cage to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assists in coordinating audits for banks, guest deposits, and rotation logs.
  • Guides Cage Cashiers in understanding their responsibilities within the department.
  • Strives to achieve and maintain high levels of service and guest satisfaction in the Cage area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or GED is required. Some college coursework in banking, finance, or a related field is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Strong communication skills are preferred. Candidates must be highly detail-oriented and proficient with computers.

This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents, including policy manuals and maintenance instructions. Capable of responding to common inquiries from guests and employees.

MATH SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.
