Position Overview: PrEP Services Manager at the Puerto Rican Cultural Center

Reports to: Program Coordinator

Department: Public Health Initiatives

Classification: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

The PrEP Services Manager will collaborate closely with the Program Coordinator to execute the PrEP initiative. Key responsibilities encompass aiding participants in accessing PrEP, promoting medication adherence, delivering test outcomes, performing follow-ups, and engaging in outreach and promotional activities. The Manager will also provide comprehensive care coordination and support services tailored to the health requirements of participants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate participants' needs for HIV prevention
  • Link participants with PrEP/PEP resources
  • Facilitate access and adherence to PrEP/PEP services
  • Administer STI screenings and referrals
  • Collaborate in the promotion of HIV testing initiatives
  • Conduct HIV and HCV testing and communicate results
  • Provide Partner Services to individuals diagnosed with HIV
  • Document program activities and outcomes effectively
  • Engage in organizational events and activities
  • Perform additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Patient Navigation or a related field
  • Preferred experience in HIV/AIDS services
  • Familiarity with community resources in New Haven is a plus
  • Specialized training in HIV prevention strategies
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong communication abilities

SKILLS:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Competence in computer applications
  • Capability to educate individuals about PrEP

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position may involve regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but such exposure is not a condition of employment.

Job Type: Full Time

Compensation: $40,000
