Position Overview

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Apple, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our supply chain strategies. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about innovation and excellence in sourcing and procurement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the commodity landscape to anticipate industry trends and assess competitive dynamics.
- Conduct in-depth supplier financial assessments, spend analysis, and ad-hoc financial evaluations to support strategic procurement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms that align with Apple's objectives.
- Analyze the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality to secure agreements that meet performance standards and ensure long-term supply reliability.
- Engage with cross-functional teams across Apple to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Synthesize and communicate insights to senior leadership, proactively identifying potential supply chain challenges that could impact product strategies.
- Enhance supply chain efficiency through cost and capacity scenario analyses and benchmarking.
- Acquire a deep understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and market intelligence to influence future product roadmaps and sourcing decisions.
- Provide comprehensive program management support and contribute to the ongoing development of processes, templates, and reporting structures.

Qualifications

- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- A BA/BS degree is required; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Proven experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation skills and a passion for achieving results.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture cross-functional relationships.
- Capability to operate independently and lead initiatives without direct authority.
- Quick decision-making skills and the ability to resolve complex issues with limited information.
- Experience in supplier management and operations is essential.
- Ability to identify and address intricate supply chain challenges.
- Demonstrated experience in driving autonomous decision-making and leading executive communications.
- End-to-end ownership of contract negotiations, including commercial and legal aspects, is a plus.
- Direct experience in long-term capacity planning is advantageous.

Travel Requirements

- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.

Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, your base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. The base pay range for this role is between $151,200 and $227,600, reflecting your skills, qualifications, and experience.
