Position Overview:

OnPoint Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to enhance our patient experience at our Family Practice. This role is vital in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of service as they navigate their healthcare journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Greet patients warmly, whether in person or via phone, ensuring a professional and friendly atmosphere.
  2. Conduct pre-visit preparations, including updating insurance information and verifying patient records.
  3. Register new patients and confirm the accuracy of existing patient details.
  4. Collect co-pays and other payments as necessary.
  5. Manage inbound calls to schedule appointments and facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff.
  6. Perform administrative tasks to ensure a seamless patient visit and efficient billing processes.
  7. Make outbound calls to patients for appointment scheduling.
  8. Uphold service standards and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  9. Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in attendance.
  10. Collaborate effectively with team members while also completing individual responsibilities.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Some college education with a focus on medical, business, or accounting.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or business office setting.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Athenahealth.
Work Environment:

This position involves standing, using hands for various tasks, and communicating effectively. The role may require occasional lifting and movement of items up to 25 pounds. Vision capabilities should include close and distance vision with the ability to adjust focus.
