Senior Financial Analyst

Purpose and Scope
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing intricate financial, administrative, and accounting concepts or techniques for comprehensive financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct specialized studies to evaluate financial actions and prepare recommendations for policies and procedures.
2. Interpret and apply policies, governmental regulations, and accounting theories.
3. Ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
4. Provide insights on financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theories, or customer financial regulations.
5. Analyze financial data to assess current and future financial performance.
6. Serve as a liaison between the program controls group and prepare comparative evaluations of actual costs against budget forecasts.
7. Review complex financial information submitted by managers for inclusion in indirect and forward pricing rate packages for government submission.
8. Offer recommendations to management regarding cost-saving opportunities and strategies for enhancing profitability.
9. Develop plans, including budgets and schedules, to fulfill contractual and project requirements.
10. Coordinate, negotiate, and resolve financial compliance issues with various agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Accountant.
- Proficiency in finance and accounting relational databases is essential.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other relevant accounting standards.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or Deltek is preferred.
- A results-oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
