Position Overview:

This role primarily focuses on the post-award management of grants and contracts from initiation to conclusion. Key responsibilities include:
Entering data into the financial system for award establishment Analyzing data to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements Providing administrative support to Principal Investigators and Administrators Reviewing financial system reports and data Preparing financial statements for sponsors Reconciling general and operational ledgers Monitoring the status of monthly receivables with sponsors and preparing invoices for funding agencies This position requires performing complex tasks in a collaborative team environment, engaging with various university departments, and delivering high-quality customer service. Your expertise will significantly influence research funding at the University.

Job Title: Financial Analyst FS

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Positive and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn the Grants & Contracts Accounting model Strong understanding of federal, state, and sponsor regulations related to grants Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Proven track record of outstanding performance and attendance Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with financial management/reporting systems Commitment to fostering a diverse environment among faculty, staff, and students
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a university-sponsored program or grant accounting office in a post-award administrative capacity is preferred Familiarity with SunGard Banner Financial System is also preferred
