Position Overview:

This role involves a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days per week onsite participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing fiscal, budgetary, and accounting functions.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the establishment and execution of financial operations, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the annual budget and analyze statewide expenditure data.
  • Conduct monthly expense analyses for programs/projects and support the evaluation of expenditures and budgets.
  • Facilitate executive decision-making by presenting financial insights to senior management.
  • Possess a strong understanding of budgeting and accounting to analyze complex business challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Engage in the development and upkeep of performance metrics and targets to enhance financial accountability and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal teams and external clients, showcasing comprehensive analytical skills (Excel, MS Word), effective communication, self-motivation, and initiative.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 Years - Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft 365, including advanced Excel functionalities.
  • 5 Years - Significant experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
  • 5 Years - Proven customer service experience with diverse audiences, including professionals and executives.
  • 5 Years - Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 Years - Experience in developing performance metrics and methods to ensure financial accountability.
  • 1 Year - Familiarity with Commonwealth of VA financial practices.
  • 1 Year - Experience with the Cardinal financial system.

This position is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 role, offering a competitive benefits package. DataStaff, Inc. provides medical, dental, and vision coverage options, along with paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays. Additionally, a 401k program is available for employees after six months of service.
