We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Analysis Specialist to join our team. This role involves critical responsibilities in the field of analytical chemistry, focusing on radiochemical analysis and instrumentation.
Shift Details:
Standard working hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with flexibility available.
Breaks:
One hour for lunch (unpaid).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct sample preparation for radiochemical assessments of various materials, including food and water, utilizing advanced radiation detection technologies.
2. Manage the calibration, operation, and upkeep of analytical instruments such as gas flow proportional counters, liquid scintillation counters, gamma spectrometers, and alpha spectrometers.
3. Execute data calculations, evaluations, and reporting through our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related physical or environmental science field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Radiochemistry or Nuclear Sciences.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in inorganic chemical analysis, particularly with metals, trace elements, and radionuclides is essential. Candidates with a Master’s degree in natural sciences may have their experience requirements waived.
