Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at South Central Health System. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties within your realm of knowledge and training to produce diagnostic radiographs at a technical level, maintaining a high standard of patient care and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform bone mineral density exams.
  • Collect blood and other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for lab testing.
  • Provide Radiology Imaging Services in Surgical cases that require it.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an AMA approved radiology program.
  • Current (permanent or temporary) Mississippi State Board of Health Medical Radiation Technologist license.
  • Registered Technologist (R.T.) under the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or registry eligible upon completion of Radiology Program.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Certification: Current CPR/BLS certification.

Working Conditions:

The Registered Technologist must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as radiation, noise, infectious/communicable diseases, blood and blood borne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases and dusts. Frequent exposures to distressed patients, families or visitors.

Schedules:

Dependent on the position available for hire, possible schedules may include but are not limited to: Rotating weekends, Rotating shifts 7-4/10-7:30.
