Program Overview:

The KBR PSAB Program delivers extensive BASE OPERATING SUPPORT-INSTALLATION (BOS-I) services at Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). These services are designed to support the 378 Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW), mission partners, and tenant units, catering to a diverse range of personnel including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel. Furthermore, the program extends its support to five (5) remote Army sites within PSAB, ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of operations, maintenance, and support activities critical for the sustained mission readiness and operational effectiveness of PSAB and its associated units.

Job Overview:

The Architect for Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) will provide architectural and engineering expertise that supports project, work order, and work request operations. This role is vital in collaborating with U.S. deployed forces and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), facilitating information sharing with other essential team members as necessary. Responsibilities include planning for repairs and maintenance, designing, offering technical support, and updating record drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver effective program management to ensure that projects are designed and construction work is executed to meet mission requirements.
  • Develop and manage Activity/Asset Management Plans (AMP) that align Air Force and installation objectives with asset-related decisions, considering the physical attributes, condition, usage, and performance of assets, as well as their realized and potential value to the mission.
  • Oversee and direct personnel, equipment, tools, vehicles, and other resources necessary to perform all civil engineering services, tasks, and functions for PSAB.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual performance objectives.
  • Be available within two (2) hours of notification to meet on the installation with Government personnel as required.
  • Guarantee the successful delivery of services to approximately 4,000 personnel at all times.
  • Manage the proper utilization, accounting, and safeguarding of all government and contractor-provided property.
  • Ensure that all required contractual submittals are delivered to the government.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, guidelines, and standards, including US laws, Saudi Labor Law, US EPA Guidelines, and various safety and building codes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Materials & Equipment Used:

Potential exposure to hazardous conditions may necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses. Use of Land Mobile Radios, cell phones, laptops, and other devices is required to maintain contact and accountability of work activities.

Working Environment:

Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors, with possible exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and chemicals. Overtime and shift work may be necessary based on contractual needs, along with occasional travel. Compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and company work rules is mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

Physical activities may include lifting up to 35 lbs, team lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, stooping, stretching, and bending. Standard office activities such as sitting/standing for extended periods, attending meetings, and repetitive use of a keyboard and mouse are also required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Duty Military within their Skillbridge/Career Skills window.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in similar projects.
  • U.S. Citizenship with a current U.S. Driver's License.
  • Possession of a passport book with at least 13 months of remaining validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages.
  • Valid U.S. SECRET Security Clearance or ability to acquire one.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Compliance with CENTCOM MOD-15 theater requirements.

Skills:

  • Project management, proactive, well-organized, results-oriented, and a team player with decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in using computers and related software, including Microsoft Office and other common products in office environments or the Engineering and Construction Industry.
  • Able and willing to work extended hours to meet mission requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with documented supervisory experience.
  • Experience in contingency environments and familiarity with government contracts.
