Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
This is the leading role on assigned projects or involves complex architectural tasks.
  • Convert global strategic goals into actionable procedures for project implementation.
  • Lead the application of Cost Competitive Execution methodologies to devise the most economical total project solutions for engineering disciplines.
  • Formulate and evaluate project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other foundational project documents across all phases.
  • Generate estimates and schedules, progress reports, and manpower forecasts.
  • Establish, monitor, and analyze key material quantities; provide insights and forecasts.
  • Draft and assess specifications, including design criteria.
  • Act as Supervising Lead, offering guidance and mentorship to other leads, and provide performance appraisal input for junior engineers.
  • Evaluate and independently recommend solutions to complex problems in alignment with organizational and project objectives.
  • Travel may be required for business-related matters.
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance standards.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Candidate Considerations:
Must possess authorization to work in the location of the position.
Basic Requirements
  • NAAB accredited professional architectural degree with sixteen (16) years of relevant experience.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences including management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Technical knowledge pertinent to the role.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply local, state/province, and federal/national regulations and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.

Additional Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Advanced Knowledge Required:
  • Building code analysis and application.
  • Architectural specifications.
  • Building planning and design.
  • Detailing of building envelopes and architectural materials.
  • Vendor document review.
  • Understanding of discipline codes and standards, material costs, construction methods, and estimating effort-hours.
  • Leadership and management of large projects.
  • Project setup, control-level scheduling, progress reporting, and project closure.
  • Intermediate proficiency in software applications including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D architectural design software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Bentley MicroStation, Bentley OpenBuildings, and Sketchup.
  • Experience with EPC projects in commercial or industrial sectors.

Preferred Qualifications
  • NCARB certification.
  • Professional architectural registration.

Advanced Knowledge in:
  • Site master planning.
  • Architectural programming.
  • Conceptual design of buildings and sites.
  • 3D visualization and sustainable design.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit software.

  • Experience with EPC projects for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
  • Experience with nuclear facility projects under quality assurance programs.
  • Experience with manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotech projects.

Salary Range: $135,000 to $250,000. The market rate for this role typically aligns with the midpoint of the salary range, with variations based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions.
