Your Role

As a Project Architect, you will play a crucial role in our Texas Buildings practice, focusing on innovative architectural solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the planning and execution of architectural projects from inception to completion.
  • Creating detailed designs through sketches, models, and digital formats.
  • Employing BIM technologies to develop comprehensive three-dimensional models.
  • Engaging in design reviews and collaborative critiques.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulatory standards.
  • Preparing and refining architectural documentation, including site plans and elevations.
  • Overseeing the bidding process and contract negotiations.
  • Reviewing project submittals and managing contract administration tasks.
  • Facilitating project coordination meetings with various stakeholders.
  • Contributing to client meetings and assisting in value analysis.
  • Preparing project specifications and ensuring alignment with construction documents.
  • Conducting quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing project budgets and schedules effectively.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:
  • A thorough understanding of accessibility and building codes.
  • Expertise in architectural document production and the interplay between drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction systems, materials, and industry standards.
  • Strong skills in space planning and design development.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Proficiency in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Registration as an Architect in Texas is mandatory, and experience in educational architecture is preferred. Additional certifications such as LEED Green Associate or LEED AP are advantageous.
