Position Overview:
The Event Sales Executive plays a crucial role in enhancing the revenue of our restaurant and nightlife venues. This position is centered in Chicago, Illinois, and focuses on achieving and surpassing sales targets through strategic outreach and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively pursue small group, social, and corporate clientele for our Restaurant and Nightlife offerings in Chicago.
- Respond to incoming inquiries while emphasizing proactive outreach and market saturation.
- Collaborate with clients to identify their event goals and requirements, assisting in the planning and execution of all event activities, including catering, signage, and security.
- Manage all group details post-confirmation, ensuring alignment with client expectations and venue standards, including food and beverage selections and revenue projections.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to meet personal and organizational objectives.
- Prepare and deliver formal proposals tailored to client specifications, aiming for optimal return on investment.

Event Management:
- Efficiently handle objections and finalize business agreements.
- Allocate function spaces strategically to maximize revenue potential.
- Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and promote our facilities and services.
- Maintain comprehensive records of solicitation and closing activities.
- Foster existing customer relationships while developing new connections during events.
- Create effective event systems for both on-site and off-site events, including site visits.

Operational Coordination:
- Collaborate with event and banquet staff to ensure seamless event execution.
- Ensure accurate costing of events, delivering profitability in line with company standards.
- Oversee the billing process, ensuring accuracy in invoices and contracts.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team objectives.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; a college degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of three years' experience in catering sales or banquet management within the hospitality sector.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage practices, hospitality standards, and catering operations.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards, health regulations, and liquor laws.
- Proficient in relevant software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills and Environment:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and working in a dynamic environment with varying noise levels.
