Position Overview:
As a vital member of the corrections team, the Cook Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and humane environment while preparing individuals for successful reintegration into society.

Key Responsibilities:
- Independently prepare a variety of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, fruits, sauces, and gravies tailored for both standard and modified diet menus.
- Execute cooking, seasoning, and portioning of meals in accordance with established recipes.
- Plan and coordinate the preparation of complete meals, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements.
- Make necessary substitutions and adjustments in food preparation techniques and seasoning to meet specific dietary needs.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of food preparation principles, including techniques for developing new recipes or modifying existing ones.
- Familiarity with large-scale cooking procedures and special dietary requirements, such as high protein, low cholesterol, low fat, calorie-restricted, and sodium-restricted diets.

Selective Factor:
Applicants must possess an approved Food Protection Manager Certification from an ANSI-accredited provider. This certification must be uploaded electronically at the time of application.
