Position Overview

We are in search of a Culinary Operations Supervisor to become an integral part of our culinary team. This position will play a crucial role in meal preparation and the overall dining experience for approximately 350 individuals daily in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fostering a welcoming and highly professional atmosphere for all employees and colleagues; ensuring that everyone feels valued in the Bistro while maintaining kitchen access protocols.
  • Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and team members to prepare, execute, and clean up all meals efficiently.
  • Ensuring punctuality in meal service, particularly for lunch, which must be served promptly at noon.
  • Creating diverse monthly menus that cater to a wide range of tastes, while considering dietary restrictions and providing suitable alternatives.
  • Guaranteeing the freshness and quality of all food products.
  • Conducting daily inventory checks, placing orders, receiving deliveries, and maintaining organization within the Kitchen and Bistro.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers; managing invoices and ensuring timely payments.
  • Coordinating maintenance and repairs for food and beverage equipment.
  • Complying with all hygiene and food safety regulations as mandated by health authorities; actively working to prevent cross-contamination and food spoilage.
  • Maintaining accurate records for the Vitol Kitchen, including city and county permits, food service requirements, and documentation for equipment and food handling.
  • Managing the food costs spreadsheet effectively.
  • Assisting employees in executing special events and celebrations by identifying food and beverage requirements, placing orders, and aiding in setup and cleanup.
  • Supporting miscellaneous administrative tasks as required, including special events and relocations.
Qualifications
  • A culinary degree or a minimum of two years of progressive experience in a restaurant kitchen or hotel/banquet environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of culinary trends, cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and industry standards.
  • Experience in a scratch kitchen is preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform essential job functions for extended periods, typically exceeding eight hours.
  • Reliable and capable of adhering to a regular schedule, typically from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Exhibiting a professional demeanor and a positive attitude consistently.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
